Shanghai-based financial services company Madai Wealth has agreed to sponsor the 2019 Basketball World Cup, which is being hosted by China.
The peer-to-peer lending firm made the announcement to tie in with its fifth anniversary.
The World Cup, the showpiece national team tournament of the International Basketball Federation (Fiba), will run from August 31 to September 15.
Next year’s World Cup will be the biggest edition of the tournament to date with a record 32 participating teams.
China is hosting the tournament for the first time and matches will be played in eight cities – Beijing, Foshan, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Nanjing, Shanghai and Guangzhou – across five provinces.
