Italian sportswear company Macron has entered into a kit partnership with English Premier League football club Stoke City.
The two parties have agreed a five-season deal, which will cover the 2016-17 to 2020-21 Premier League campaigns. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, although Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes said the partnership is “by far the biggest agreement with a kit supplier” the club has ever signed.
Scholes added: “Macron are a rapidly growing brand in a highly competitive market. They are a company with big aspirations which is another reason why our partnership is such a perfect fit.”
Under the agreement, Macron will supply Stoke’s playing kits, training gear and leisure wear for the next five years. Macron already has a similar contract with Stoke’s Premier League rival Crystal Palace.
The deal will bring to an end Stoke’s relationship with US sportswear brand New Balance.
