The Ladies Professional Golf Association has entered into a new partnership with global science and technology specialist the Dow Company.
The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, names Dow as an official marketing partner of the LPGA.
Dow will have a presence throughout the LPGA Tour season with hospitality at various events, and through a digital content platform via the LPGA Women’s Network and LPGA.com. The partnership will promote inclusion and career advancement for women.
Dow was named as a founding partner of the LPGA Women’s Network in January. The online network is designed to help nurture female interest in golf.
Throughout the 2018 LPGA Tour season, the network will follow Dow’s chief inclusion officer, Karen Carter, as she strives to learn the game of golf with tips and lessons from Suzann Pettersen (pictured), a Dow ambassador and Tour player, and LPGA teaching and club professionals.
Carter said: “Dow has been involved with the game of golf for a long time, including selling many of our products and solutions into the golf world. We look forward to using this network to help attract more women to the game, and utilising golf as a vehicle for career advice and advancement.”
