Swiss watchmaker Longines has expanded its commitment to the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) by becoming an official partner of the final leg of the 2014 Nations Cup Eventing season.
The competition will be held at the Military Boekelo-Enschede, one of the largest outdoor sporting events in the Netherlands, from today (Thursday) through to October 12.
Longines’ partnership with FEI Nations Cup Eventing 2014 reinforces the company’s commitment to equestrian sports. As the official timekeeper and official watch of the FEI, the watchmaker’s partnership covers a number of major rights packages, including the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping, the FEI World Rider Rankings for Jumping – now the Longines Rankings – and official timekeeper of the FEI Nations Cup Jumping and FEI World Equestrian Games in 2018 and 2022.
“We are delighted to have Longines supporting eventing and recognising the tremendous potential of this Olympic discipline, one of the most popular equestrian sports amongst fans, especially on cross country day,” FEI chief of business development and strategy Lisa Lazarus said. “This shows once again Longines’ passion for equestrian sport and we look forward to growing this partnership in eventing.”
Longines is a top partner of the FEI under a 10-year deal running from 2013 to 2022.
