Supermarket chain Lidl has strengthened its sports portfolio by becoming an official partner of the French Handball Federation.
The deal will run for three years, from 2016 to 2018.
Lidl will promote its dairy products division, Envia, through the partnership, and will activate the deal through fan zones at men’s and women’s matches across the country.
The federation’s president, Joel Delplanque, described the new partnership as “a strong sign for handball”.
Frédéric Fuchs, senior manager of Lidl France, added: “In line with our new strategy we will become a leader in handball.”
Just days ago, Lidl secured a similar partnership with the German Handball Federation.
