LFP takes punt on Sportium tie-up

Sports betting company Sportium has entered into a partnership with the Spanish Football League (LFP) for the ongoing 2014-15 season.

Sportium earns the designation of official betting house of the LFP and will also work alongside the league to promote integrity and fraud prevention.

The financial terms of the agreement between Sportium and LFP were not disclosed.

Sportium joins beer brand Mahou, fast food chain Burger King and telecommunications company Huawei as a second-tier partner of the LFP.

Banking group BBVA is the top-tier sponsor of the LFP serving as the naming partner of the top division of Spanish football.
