Online car marketplace Leasing.com has signed up as the new title sponsor of the EFL Trophy English football knockout competition.
The agreement will run for three seasons, from 2019-20 until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
Leasing.com has replaced online tradespeople directory Checkatrade.com, which held the title sponsorship rights for three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
Under the deal, which covers all 126 matches across six rounds, Leasing.com will be able to exploit rights spanning the EFL and the league’s digital network.
The competition features clubs from English football’s third and fourth tiers, League One and League Two, as well as a selection of academy and under-21 teams from clubs in the top-tier Premier League and second-tier Championship. This season, the Manchester United and Liverpool under-21 teams will be making their debuts in the tournament.
