Italian coffee brand Lavazza has enhanced its presence at tennis’ grand slam events by becoming an official supplier of the French Open.
Lavazza replaces rival brand and Nestle subsidiary Nespresso for this year’s clay court showpiece, which runs from May 27 to June 7 at the iconic Roland Garros venue.
The deal with the French Tennis Federation (FFT) runs for three years, taking in the 2015 to 2017 editions of the French Open. Nespresso had partnered with the tournament for the past 10 years.
In February, Lavazza entered into a multi-year deal with the United States Tennis Association for the US Open, while its partnership with the Wimbledon Championships has been renewed through until 2016.
