LaLiga, which operates the top two divisions of Spanish football, has entered into a partnership with department store group El Corte Inglés.
The deal covers the 2017-18 season and names El Corte Inglés as LaLiga’s official travel agency. The agreement covers the top-tier LaLiga and the second-tier Segunda Division.
As a major sponsor of the two leagues, Madrid-headquartered El Corte Inglés will benefit from brand exposure at more than 700 matches. The company will also be able to launch exclusive marketing campaigns in its stores.
The partnership also covers LaLiga Genuine, the body’s competition for footballers with intellectual disabilities.
LaLiga president Javier Tebas said: “We are very satisfied that a company with the experience and recognition of El Corte Inglés has joined the football family. This union with one of the most important national brands is a demonstration that the value of LaLiga continues to grow, as well as our effort to be linked to brands which offer fans of Spanish football a 360-degree experience.”
