LaLiga, which operates the top two divisions of Spanish football, has entered into a partnership with Globalia, the country’s leading tourism group.
Under the agreement, Globalia’s Air Europa airline and Halcon Viajes travel agent will sponsor the top-tier LaLiga and second-tier LaLiga2 competitions through various media channels. The deal covers the upcoming 2016-17 season.
“Here at Globalia, we've always placed special emphasis on linking our group's image to the world of sport,” Globalia president Juan Jose Hidalgo said. “Our presence is constantly increasing: we are the official travel agent for 27 LaLiga clubs, and we are also present in other sporting disciplines.”
The 2016-17 LaLiga season gets underway on August 19.
