Bookmaker Ladbrokes has been unveiled as the title sponsor of this year’s edition of the Four Nations rugby league tournament, which will be hosted by England.
Ladbrokes struck the agreement with the Rugby Football League, the governing body of rugby league in England. The tournament will officially be titled the Ladbrokes Four Nations.
Four Nations tournament director Jon Dutton said: “Some of the best players in the world will be in the country for the Four Nations this autumn and having Ladbrokes on board will enhance this competition on and off the field. Being associated with international rugby league can strengthen their brand in the sports betting market.”
Ladbrokes has a strong presence in English rugby league. The bookmaker is a current partner of the Super League club competition and also serves as the title sponsor of the Challenge Cup knockout tournament.
This year’s Four Nations event takes place across England from October 28 to November 20. Host England will be joined in the tournament by Scotland, Australia and New Zealand. Games will be played in Hull, Huddersfield, Coventry, Workington, London and Liverpool.
New Zealand is the defending champion, having won the 2014 edition of the tournament, which it co-hosted with Australia.
