Locally-based financial institution Kwangju Bank has agreed a sponsorship deal with the 2015 Gwangju summer Universiade.
Kwangju Bank will provide a variety of financial services to the multi-sport event, such as the management of funds for games operations, money exchange for participating delegations and receipt of participation fees.
As an official sponsor, Kwangju Bank gains the rights to use the Gwangju Universiade logo, mascot and associated branding on promotional materials.
Kim Jang-hak, president and chief executive of Kwangju Bank, said: “I expect that we have the opportunity to leap over boundaries and become a global bank through the Gwangju Universiade.”
The 2015 Gwangju summer Universiade takes place from July 3-14 and the Korean event’s organising committee already has global premium partner agreements in place with SK C&C, SK Telecom, Kia Motors and Asiana Airlines. The previous edition of the summer Universiade was held in the Russian city of Kazan in 2013.
