Korean tyre manufacturer Kumho has extended and expanded its partnership with the PGA of Australia golf organisation.
The new two-year deal will run until 2019 and will see Kumho retain its position as the official tyre partner of the PGA of Australia.
The expanded agreement covers the Australian PGA Championship and the new World Super 6 event.
The inaugural edition of the World Super 6 tournament will take place at Lake Karrinyup Country Club in Perth from February 16-19, and the innovative event will feature a six-hole shoot-out competition on its fourth and final day.
Stephen Ayles, chief commercial officer of the PGA of Australia, said: “We're happy to see this new tournament grow day-by-day and be able to attract sponsorship deals with the likes of Kumho Tyre.”
Kumho Tyre is the most recent partner to join the World Super 6 after ISPS Handa, Emirates, Tag Heuer, Pan Pacific Perth, West Cape Howe Wines, APN, Coates Hire, Subaru Australia and BDO, with more deals to be announced in the lead up to the tournament.
