Korean tyre manufacturer Kumho has entered into a partnership with the Charlotte Hornets NBA basketball franchise.
The agreement names Kumho as the official tyre of the Hornets, as well as the team’s exclusive partner in the automobile tyre manufacturer category. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
Kumho will benefit from signage at the Hornets’ Spectrum Center home arena, with its branding to feature on two corner board panels, 360 LED boards, the scorer’s table, basket stanchion LED boards, corner board digital screens, and on the centre-hung scoreboard during the fourth quarter of games as part of an arena takeover.
The company will also be granted rights to use team logos and marks, as well as hospitality opportunities.
The partnership will be promoted on digital and social media channels, with a six-week sweepstake competition to be launched on the Hornets’ website.
Kumho earlier this week partnered with fellow NBA team the Atlanta Hawks. The company also serves as the official tyre of the NBA and NBA Development League.
