Sportswear company Kukri has agreed to extend its partnership with Irish Pro 12 rugby union club Ulster for a further five years through to the 2018-19 season.
Under the terms of the deal, Kukri will be the official kit supplier and retailer for the club’s Official Ulster Rugby shop.
The extension of the deal was agreed almost a full year before the existing contract was due to expire. Ulster and Kukri have already enjoyed a six-year partnership, and the new deal will extend this relationship beyond the 10-year milestone.
Fiona Hampton, head of sales and marketing for Ulster Rugby, said: “The kit partnership is one of the most vital within the club in terms of provision of top class performance sportswear and also financial income. The deal with Kukri represents the largest sponsorship deal ever done by the club and takes us to the top four club kit deals within our sport in the UK and Ireland.”
