Opticians chain Krys has enhanced its partnership with the Tour de France by striking a deal to sponsor the cycling event’s white jersey.
Krys will replace Skoda as the sponsor of the jersey – awarded to the leading young rider in the Grand Tour – after the Czech automotive manufacturer switched its support to the event’s green points classification jersey.
It already had a three-year deal to serve as the ‘official opticians’ of the event, which began last year, but the new agreement for the white jersey will run for the 2015 edition of the tour.
Krys agreed terms with Amaury Sport Organisation, which organises the tour.
