Telecommunications company KPN has upgraded its partnership with the Eredivisie to become the main sponsor of the top tier of Dutch football.
The new four-year agreement covers the 2017-18 to 2020-21 seasons and will grant KPN brand exposure at all Eredivisie stadiums and via television broadcasts.
KPN became an official sponsor of the Eredivisie ahead of the 2014-15 season. The company also sponsored the league between 1990 and 2002.
Frank van der Post, chief commercial officer for KPN, said: “We now offer our clients all Eredivisie football via Fox Sports Eredivisie and the Goal Alert app, and after the last three years as official partner … we look forward to the partnership with Eredivisie being further developed. Football is in the hearts of many Dutch people. As a supporter of the national football league, we will make a positive contribution to the sport over the coming years.”
