Korean rail company backs Pyeongchang 2018

Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) has agreed a deal to sponsor the 2018 winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang.

Korail will be involved in promotional events leading up to the Olympics, which run from February 9-25. The company will also promote ticket sales and deliver a publicity zone.

As an official sponsor, Korail will be granted use of the Pyeongchang 2018 logo in promotional initiatives, along with a range of other marketing rights.

Korail’s high-speed trains will be used to transport spectators between capital city Seoul and Gangneung, which will host ice events during the Games.

A train will also run directly from the International Incheon Airport to Pyeongchang, Jinbu and Gangneung.

Following the conclusion of the Olympics on February 25, the Paralympics will run from March 8-18.
