English Premiership rugby union team Leicester Tigers has sealed a long-term kit deal with sportswear manufacturer Kooga.
The partnership is for six seasons, running from 2015-16 to 2020-21. The Tigers said the deal could be worth up to £4.5m (€6.3m/$7m)over its duration.
Andrew Ronnie, Kooga’s managing director, said: “This is a substantial signing for Kooga and we are extremely excited about working with Leicester Tigers. At Kooga, we pride ourselves in manufacturing quality kit for all levels of the game and this deal is a statement of intent from us.”
Manchester-based Kooga recently secured deals with the Uruguay national team for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, while it is also a partner of British clubs Scarlets, Worcester Warriors and Yorkshire Carnegie along with English Super League rugby league team Huddersfield Giants.
