German Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund has agreed a sponsorship deal with Japanese digital entertainment company Konami.
The four-year agreement will cover the 2016-17 to 2019-20 seasons.
Under the agreement, Dortmund’s players, kit and badge will be recreated in full detail in Pro Evolution Soccer 2017, Konami’s soon-to-be-released video game. The game will also include lifelike chants from fans at Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park, with the stadium recreated in full detail.
The partnership continues Konami’s European football drive. Earlier this week, the company agreed a similar deal with English Premier League team Liverpool, while last month it partnered with Spanish LaLiga giant Barcelona.
PES 2017 will be released on September 15.
