Kazakhstan’s first sports-dedicated television channel will launch on July 1, according to the Tengri News website.
Pilot broadcasting of KazSport will commence on June 15 and will allow Kazakh viewers to watch domestic sports events, along with international sport. The channel will also produce original programming focusing on sports stars.
Director of the strategic development department of Kazakhstan’s Sport Ministry, Dariga Kamzebayeva, told the Vesti website: “KazSport channel will be broadcasting in two languages (Russian and Kazakh) 20 hours a day. It will be available in cable and satellite operators' networks and the Otau TV satellite network.”
