Japanese automotive company Isuzu has reached an agreement to be a major partner of this year’s Rugby League World Cup, which will take place in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
The agreement names Isuzu UTE Australia as the official automotive partner of the national team tournament, which runs from October 27 to December 2.
Isuzu will benefit from on-field, LED and in-stadium branding across all World Cup matches played in Australia and New Zealand.
The Isuzu UTE Summit activation will also be present at Brisbane Stadium for a semi-final and the final of the tournament, while fans will be given the chance to win a new Isuzu D-Max vehicle as part of the ‘Memorable Moments’ competition.
Isuzu UTE Australia will also promote the partnership through its own marketing channels and dealer network.
Andrew Hill, the tournament’s chief executive, said: “As the tournament’s organising committee, we made a deliberate decision to take the event as far and wide as we possibly could, so it’s very fitting that Isuzu UTE Australia – with dealerships across the country – have become the official automotive partner of the Rugby League World Cup 2017.”
