The International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS) has renewed a deal to serve as the title sponsor of the Perth International golf tournament.
The deal will cover the 2016 edition of the event, which will take place at the Lake Karrinyup Country Club from February 25-28. It will be the fourth consecutive year that the ISPS will have been the title sponsor of the event.
The agreement was struck with the IMG agency, which owns and promotes the tournament.
“The power of sport is a great tool for creating hope and breaking down educational and cultural barriers,” Haruhisa Handa, the ISPS’s founder and patron of Golf Australia, said. “We have enjoyed our association with the Perth International since its inception in 2012 and this year with the Asian Tour joining the European Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia as a sanctioning partner, the tournament is sure to have even greater relevance in Asia-Pacific.”
The ISPS is committed to raising the profile of blind and disabled golf. The ultimate mission is for golf to become a Paralympic sport.
