Japanese automotive manufacturer Isuzu has agreed a deal to become title sponsor of this year’s Ironman 70.3 World Championship triathlon event.
The two-day competition will run from September 1-2 in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa.
The event will welcome approximately 4,500 athletes from more than 100 global qualifying events.
This year’s edition marks the first time that the event will take place in Africa. The 2018 World Championship will see professional and age-group women racing on September 1 and professional and age-group men racing on September 2.
