IPL duo snare new partners

Kings XI Punjab has secured a sponsorship agreement with banking group DCB Bank, while fellow Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket team SunRisers Hyderabad has partnered with stationary suppliers Linc Pen & Plastics.

Both deals are for the current 2015 edition of the IPL. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DCB Bank’s logo will feature on Kings XI Punjab’s jersey. It becomes the 22nd sponsor on the franchise’s commercial roster.

DCB Bank managing director Murali M Natrajan said: “This is an interesting opportunity for DCB Bank to engage with employees and customers. Moreover, as official partner, it is likely to give visibility to DCB Bank branch locations in Punjab, such as Faridkot, Ferozpur, Jagraon, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Malerkotla and Nabha as well as key markets of Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan in the north and Pune in the west.”

Linc Pen & Plastics gains branding space on the leading side of the playing helmets and caps worn by SunRisers Hyderabad. It will also hold contests and giveaways for consumers via social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, while unveiling in-stadium campaigns on match days.

SunRisers Hyderabad face Rajasthan Royals in match 11 tomorrow (Thursday), while Kings XI Punjab take on Delhi Daredevils today. Kings XI’s Anureet Singh and Mitchell Johnson (pictured) are currently second and third in the Purple Cap standings for the IPL’s leading wicket takers.
