Inverness works up an appetite with Subway deal

International sandwich chain Subway has agreed a one-year rolling contract to become the main shirt sponsor of Scottish Premier League top-flight football team Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Under the six-figure deal, which will begin in the 2014-15 season, Subway’s branding will appear on the front of Inverness players’ shirts.

In addition, Subway will also launch various competitions and offers for Inverness fans.

Subway, which has an existing partnership with the club, will also continue to work with Inverness on a joint healthy eating scheme. The club’s Heart Research UK and Subway Healthy Heart project will aims to be present in all 180 primary schools throughout the Scottish Highlands.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle chairman Kenny Cameron said: “We’ve worked with the Subway brand at community department level for the past couple of years and built up a relationship which has encouraged them to take this much bigger step and be our shirt sponsor.”

Inverness Caledonian Thistle finished fourth in 2013-14 Scottish Premier League, two points behind St Johnstone in the final Uefa Europa League second qualifying round place.
