Italian Serie A football club Inter Milan has signed a sponsorship deal with isotonic sports drink brand Gatorade.
The two-year deal will cover the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. Gatorade, which is owned by PepsiCo, will serve as the official sports drink of Inter as well as technical partner of the club.
Gatorade products will be made available at the San Siro on match days and at Inter’s training ground.
The deal strengthen’s Gatorade’s presence within football, with the brand having sponsored the Uefa Champions League since 2015.
This season marks Inter’s return to the Champions League, Europe’s top-tier club competition, following a six-year absence.
Giorgio Brambilla, Inter’s sales and partnerships management director, said: “The return of global brands like Gatorade as partners of the club confirms the consistency of our growth, which aims to widen the global appeal of our brand.”
