Italian Serie A football club Internazionale has extended its top-tier sponsorship deal with door manufacturer Oknoplast by two years, from 2013-14 to 2014-15.
The Polish PVC window and door manufacturer first linked up with Inter in December 2011, marking the company’s first venture into the football market.
As part of Oknoplast’s sponsorship of Inter, the company’s logo is displayed at the San Siro stadium in Milan, the club’s training ground and its official website, as well as on promotional and marketing materials and in corporate hospitality.
Financial details were not disclosed, but Oknoplast president Mikolaj Placek said: “This is a significant investment. We have decided to continue thanks to the excellent return on image we've seen over the last two years. We've become a key player on the European market thanks to working with such a prestigious partner. Our sales network has greatly expanded and we have new commercial partners, who consider our sponsorship of Inter a display of the company's strength and potential.”
Oknoplast has operated in Italy since 2007 and with 500 sales outlets and more than 50 dedicated showrooms has become one of the market leaders, ending 2012 with an 11% increase in sales compared with the previous year.
Inter’s other top-tier partners are BPM, TIM, Trentino and Volvo.
