German football club FC Ingolstadt 04 has signed a sponsorship agreement with consumer electronics store chain Media Markt.
Under the three-year deal, running from 2015-16 to 2017-18, Media Markt’s branding will feature on the side chest of Ingolstadt’s shirts.
Ingolstadt will play in Germany’s top-tier Bundesliga for the first time in 2015-16 having won promotion from 2.Bundesliga as champion this season.
The deal with Media Markt is not dependant on Ingolstadt retaining its top-flight status. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Media Markt will sit alongside automotive company Audi and sportswear giant Adidas as one of Ingolstadt’s major partners.
