The Infront Sports & Media agency has agreed a long-term deal with the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) to provide the governing body with marketing services to help increase sponsorship activity for the sport in the country.
The deal will focus on the Turkish Basketball League, the leading club basketball league in the country.
The agency will redefine the league’s marketing platform by offering centrally marketed sponsorship packages for the first time. A total of six packages for brands will be available under the new strategy.
In addition, LED advertising boards are to be installed at the arenas of all clubs in the league, as a way of offering further branding opportunities to both current and potential sponsors.
Infront will open a new agency in Istanbul to work directly out of the market.
“Together with Infront we now want to build awareness of Turkish basketball beyond our national boarders and elevate our properties further fortify a leading position in Europe,” the TBF’s secretary general, Ali Özsoy, said. “Infront will support us in building a world-class commercial foundation and cross-connect Turkish basketball with its worldwide sports media and sponsorship network.”
