English Premier League football club Chelsea has today (Monday) unveiled Korean automotive company Hyundai as its new sleeve sponsor.
Hyundai will also serve as Chelsea’s official global automotive partner as part of a four-year deal that begins with the 2018-19 season. The company’s logo will appear on the left sleeve of Chelsea’s shirts.
The deal covers all domestic matches across the club’s men’s, women’s and academy teams. The agreement marks Hyundai’s first partnership with a British football club.
As part of the deal, Hyundai will work with Chelsea to develop a range of initiatives and benefits for supporters.
Hyundai will replace Alliance Tyres as Chelsea’s sleeve sponsor. Alliance Tyres is owned by Japanese tyre manufacturer Yokohama, the club’s main shirt sponsor.
The 2017-18 campaign marked the first season that Premier League clubs were permitted to sign sleeve sponsors.
