Italian Serie A football club Hellas Verona has signed a deal for clothing company Franklin & Marshall to become its main sponsor for the remainder of the 2013-14 season.
The Verona-based firm’s logo will debut on the front of the club’s shirt when it travels to face Fiorentina on Monday.
Hellas Verona was promoted from Serie B last season and has enjoyed a strong start to life back in the top division, currently sitting sixth in Serie A.
Giuseppe Albarelli, founding partner of Franklin & Marshall, said: “The choice of myself and my partner Andrea Pensiero to associate the brand with Hellas is motivated by the firm belief that the Italian football system can be an excellent vehicle to spread our brand in Italy and across the world.
"This is especially the case now that there are clear steps taken by the movement towards modernity and civilisation that has been seen from the early stages in other countries such as Germany and England – states where football is lived for what it is: sport and spectacle.”
