Hannover 96 nets new shirt sponsor

Construction company Heinz von Heiden has agreed a three-year deal to be the main sponsor of German Bundesliga football team Hannover 96.

Effective from the 2014-15 season, Heinz von Heiden’s branding will feature on the team’s match shirts. The company succeeds travel and tourism firm TUI as Hannover’s new main sponsor.

Heinz von Heiden will also benefit from a range of other rights including branding on advertising hoardings and a presence at the club’s HDI-Arena.

The company previously enjoyed a lower tier sponsorship agreement with Hannover between 2007 and 2009.

Brokered by the Sportfive agency, the financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
