Hankook Tyre Australia has announced an agreement with Football Federation Australia to sponsor domestic club competition the A-League.
Hankook’s branding exposure through the A-League will include static billboards, animated and active LED billboards and region and sale-specific promotional drives.
The terms of the agreement were undisclosed.
Hankook Tyre Australia managing director Paul Park said: “(FFA chief executive) David Gallop has openly described his goal of having football as the number one sporting code in Australia. That’s very fitting as our goal is for Hankook to be the number one brand in Australia.”
The Korean company has an established presence in European football through it partnership with the Uefa Europa League and, in August, it extended its sponsorship of German Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund until 2015.
