Sports betting and casino games provider Tipico has agreed to a three-year extension of its partnership with German Bundesliga football club Hamburg.
Tipico will remain Hamburg’s exclusive sports betting provider until 2019. The two parties’ existing partnership was due to expire at the end of the current Bundesliga season in May. Tipico first teamed up with Hamburg ahead of the 2010-11 campaign.
The German company will continue to receive advertising exposure at the club’s Volksparkstadion home ground, where it also has its own sports lounge and business seats. From the 2016-17 season, Tipico will have an additional presence on the club’s digital media channels.
Rouven Kasper, senior director of Lagardère Sports Team HSV, which brokered the deal, said: “This underlines the importance of the HSV brand and shows that the club … has a strong platform to achieve objectives in corporate communications.”
Hamburg is currently 10th in the Bundesliga and will resume its season against reigning champion Bayern Munich, which is also a partner of Tipico, tomorrow (Friday) following the league’s winter break.
