Insurance group Great Eastern has reached a deal to become a founding partner of the Singapore Sports Hub.
The state-of-the-art multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility will feature a 55,000-seat National Stadium, 6,000-seat Aquatic Centre and extensive retail space among other features and Great Eastern also becomes its official insurance partner.
The partnership was brokered by World Sport Group, the Sports Hub's exclusive commercial partner. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
As a founding partner, Great Eastern will receive significant branding opportunities at the Sports Hub along with exposure on the Sports Hub's online platforms. Additionally, the company will partake in sports-based community initiatives to encourage healthy living.
Great Eastern's partnership with the Singapore Sports Hub is part of a wider collaboration with the destination by its parent company, OCBC Group.
In November, the Singapore-headquartered banking group signed on as the premier founding partner of the Sports Hub in a 15-year deal that gave it the naming rights to the indoor arena, aquatic centre and hospitality areas at the national stadium.
