Singapore Airlines has signed an agreement with the Singapore National Olympic Council to become the official airline partner of the Singapore Olympic team.
The three-year deal runs until April 30, 2018 and covers the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, along with the 2017 Asian Youth Games and the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.
Singapore Airlines will provide excess baggage for the team’s sporting equipment, operational support for check-in and ground handling services, specific flight-related services and specially tailored meals for athletes.
Last month, Singapore Airlines became an official partner for Singapore’s hosting of the 2015 SEA Games, while the national carrier is also halfway through a two-year deal to title sponsor the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix.
