South African rugby union team Golden Lions has reached a deal to make telecommunications company Vox Telecom an associate sponsor.
Golden Lions and Vox Telecom have an established eight-year relationship, with the latter now set to benefit from enhanced terms through an undisclosed agreement.
Vox Telecom obtains branding rights for the Super Rugby, Vodacom Cup and Currie Cup competitions, its logo featuring on the right-hand chest position of the Lions match jersey.
To mark the partnership, Vox Telecom’s logo appeared on the front of the Golden Lions’ shirts for the Super Rugby encounter with Crusaders at Ellis Park in Johannesburg, where the team was beaten 28-7 on Saturday.
