Online betting company Xpressbet has reached an agreement to serve as the title sponsor of the Preakness Stakes horse race.
Xpressbet is owned and operated by the Stronach Group, which is also the operating company of Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, which will stage the Triple Crown race on May 16.
The Preakness Stakes previously had smartphone manufacturer BlackBerry as its title sponsor in 2009.
Through its established association with Pimlico Race Course, Xpressbet will continue to provide a range of betting offers on the Preakness Stakes – including the Preakness Big Bet Sweepstakes that will reward one customer with a VIP trip to the event and a $25,000 (€23,000) bet on the race.
