Nigerian telecommunications company Globacom has extended its headline sponsorship of the Confederation of African Football’s annual awards event for four years until 2018.
Globacom initially sponsored the CAF Awards in 2005 under a five-year contract and it sealed its latest renewal on the eve of the 2014 awards, which were staged last week.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
“With this agreement, we wish to reiterate our commitment to further stimulate and inspire the growth of football in our treasured continent,” Globacom executive director Gladys Talabi said.
