Glasgow Airport has agreed a deal to become an official supporter of this year’s inaugural European Championships multi-sport event, which will be held in the Scottish city and Berlin, Germany.
Under the agreement, Glasgow Airport will serve as the official airport for the Scottish leg of the event.
Thousands of athletes, officials and visitors are due to pass through the airport on their way to the event, which will run in Glasgow from August 2-12.
Glasgow Airport will work on arrivals, departures and transport links to the surrounding venues in the run up to, and during, the Championships. Glasgow 2018 branding will also be present throughout the airport.
Glasgow will stage aquatics, cycling, golf, gymnastics, rowing and triathlon events during this year’s debut championships.
