Boston Networks and Gymnova have been appointed as official suppliers for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Under the agreements, Boston Networks will be responsible for the delivery of cabling infrastructure required across all venues, with the current estimated scope including the installation of more than 3,000 individual cable outlets and in excess of 100km of fibre optic cabling.
All cabling for the Games will be installed on a temporary basis and removed afterwards to be recycled in accordance with industry standards, although individual venues may be able to retain it upon request.
Gymnova becomes the official gymnastics equipment provider for the Games.
Gymnova will provide the supply, installation and maintenance of the gymnastics apparatus for Glasgow 2014 along with the provision of technical staff to support transitions, gymnast training and competition periods.
Gymnova has previously supplied equipment for the London 2012 Olympic Games, two Gymnastics World Championships and will be the official supplier for the 2015 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships also to be held in Glasgow.
Boston Networks and Gymnova join Ramler RGS, Trespass, Riedel, Ticketmaster, Sports Technology and Icon in Glasgow 2014’s official Commonwealth Games providers category.
