Insurance company Generali has extended and expanded its sponsorship deal with Swiss Tennis, the sport’s governing body in the country.
Generali Gruppe Schweiz has been named the official insurance partner of the body. Under the new multi-year deal, the company has also been named the title sponsor of the annual Swiss Championships from 2017, which will take on the official name of the Generali Swiss Champion Trophy.
“In our business, long-term partnerships are a sign of confidence,” Alfred Leu, chief executive of Generali Gruppe Schweiz, said. “This is one of our key success factors.”
Generali began its backing of Swiss Tennis in 2008. The 2015 Swiss Championships were held earlier this month with Victorija Golubic and Yann Marti winning the women’s and men’s titles.
