SC Freiburg has agreed a sponsorship deal with online dating service LoveScout24, while fellow German Bundesliga football club TSG Hoffenheim has extended its partnership with railway company Deutsche Bahn.
LoveScout24’s season-long deal with Freiburg covers the 2016-17 campaign and marks the website’s first foray into football sponsorship.
Under the agreement, LoveScout24’s logo and website domain will be promoted on pitchside advertising boards during Freiburg home games. The website has also been named co-sponsor of the club’s women’s team.
The deal was brokered by the Infront Sports & Media agency, Freiburg’s official marketing partner.
“With our commitment in sports, we transfer the positive feelings of football through our highly emotional brand,” Peter Breiling, head of marketing for LoveScout24, said. “In addition, we can effectively reach the mobile, event-oriented target group of singles.”
Meanwhile, Deutsche Bahn has signed a season-long extension to its partnership with Hoffenheim. The company will retain its title as the club’s mobility partner.
Deutsche Bahn will continue to provide dedicated services for supporters on match days, while fan activations such as game day camps and mascot experiences will remain a feature of the partnership.
