Sports equipment company Schelde Sports has extended its official supplier deal with the International Basketball Federation (Fiba).
The agreement will come into immediate effect and run through to 2020.
Schelde Sports will now serve as the official supplier of backstop units for all top-level Fiba national team contests, including at all venues and practice facilities for the first-ever 32-team Basketball World Cup in China in 2019.
The agreement will also cover basketball events at the 2020 summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
Schelde Sports previously worked with Fiba on other major competitions such as EuroBasket 2015 and the 2014 edition of the Basketball World Cup.
Olivier Estèves, chief executive of Schelde Sports’ parent company ABEO Group, said: “This agreement gives the group increased visibility worldwide, and particularly on the Asian continent.”
