Dutch Eredivisie football club Feyenoord has renewed its kit supplier partnership with German sportswear manufacturer Adidas.
The new five-year deal will run until June 30, 2023. As a strategic partner of Feyenoord, Adidas will continue to supply the Rotterdam-based club with kit and apparel.
Adidas first partnered with Feyenoord for the 2014-15 season and the two parties have engaged in unique distribution model for official club apparel. Under the deal, all Feyenoord/Adidas apparel is exclusively available through official Feyenoord retail channels. The two parties said the success of this model, which has driven structural growth, has led to the new deal.
Gavin Thomson, senior vice-president, region west, at Adidas Western Europe, said: “The club, the city, the supporters, it all fits perfectly with the Adidas brand. Furthermore, the success of the shops and the online store has vastly exceeded our expectations. These are the main reasons to renew the contract and extend the contract term. We are looking forward to all the great things to come.”
Feyenoord is the defending Eredivisie champion and currently sits fourth in the table after 21 matches of the 2017-18 season.
