Courier company FedEx has extended its title sponsorship of the St. Jude Classic PGA Tour golf tournament in Memphis, US.
The new deal will run for two years, from 2016 to 2017. The 2015 edition of the event will run from June 11-14 with Ben Crane (pictured) the defending champion.
The agreement was announced by the PGA Tour, tournament host organisation Youth Programs and FedEx, which is based in Memphis.
FedEx first became title sponsor of the tournament in 1986.
“FedEx epitomises the charitable purpose of the PGA Tour and what we’re all about,” PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem said. “It continues to play a vital role in growing the FedEx St. Jude Classic’s impact throughout the Memphis community and, in particular, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”
