German Bundesliga football team FC Köln has agreed a four-year extension to its stadium naming rights deal with energy company RheinEnergie.
Köln’s home ground will continue to be known as the RheinEnergieStadion through to 2018 under the agreement, the financial terms of which were undisclosed.
Additionally, RheinEnergie remains the jersey sponsor of Köln’s under-21 team and retains a sponsorship presence at the stadium’s surrounding RheinEnergie Sports Park and the club’s Geißbockheim training facility.
FC Köln sealed its return to Germany’s top flight after finishing top of the 2.Bundesliga this season, ending a two-year absence.
