Falken Tyre Europe has agreed a deal to sponsor the 2019 men’s Handball World Championship, which will be co-hosted by Germany and Denmark.
The partnership with the tyre manufacturer was brokered by Lagardère Sports, the exclusive marketing agency for the event from 2019 to 2025.
As an Official Sponsor of the 2019 event, Falken will benefit from a comprehensive rights package that will include a logo presence in all media-relevant areas. Its branding will feature on the handball field, while it has also been designated as the Official Tyre Manufacturer of the World Championship.
Markus Bögner, managing director and chief operating officer of Falken Tyre Europe, said: “With this sponsorship we widen our engagement in sports and continue our brand strategy consequently. Because of the rising popularity of handball in Europe we are expecting a high reach and a constant media presence. We will reach…further relevant target groups to which we have had difficult access so far.”
The men’s World Championship is sanctioned by the International Handball Federation. Next year’s tournament will run from January 10-27.
