The Football Association of Ireland has extended its partnership with telecommunications company Three.
Three has signed a five-year, €8.9m ($9.5m) deal to remain the primary sponsor of the FAI and the Irish national team until 2020.
The company’s branding will continue to appear on Ireland’s playing and training kits over this period. Three will also receive in-arena advertising at the national team’s home ground the Aviva Stadium.
In addition, Three will offer its customers the chance to win exclusive matchday experiences.
John Delaney, chief executive of the FAI, said: “This agreement between the FAI and Three, across all of our national teams, will continue to build on what has been a very successful commercial and sporting partnership, and one that helps safeguard the future of football from grassroots right up to international level.”
Three has sponsored the Irish national team since 2010. The announcement comes in a key week for Irish football as the national team battles it out with Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Uefa Euro 2016 play-offs.
